Two months ago, I stepped off a plane into the Rome House. My adventure had begun and from that moment, this entire game was a huge challenge for me- and I loved it.
From the very beginning, I knew I did not want to be a target. During the first Head of Household, I was in the lead for Karma but I knew if I won I would make enemies, so I tossed the victory over to Richie! You may think of that as cowardly, but it was just the beginning of my strategy.
The game became harder during the second week when I was nominated with my best friend in the game, John. There was no veto, no nothing to save us. I was spared by Richie, so I joined him and JD in moving to the Bern House.
The next few weeks were challenging. One by one, I watched my two Rome allies, JD and Richie walk out the door. At that point, I had no one left and I realized it was game time and that if I wanted to win, I would have to really step it up.
Since I was the only Roman left, I started to talk to everyone and make more friends. It worked, when I dodged the nomination and Jon was evicted from the house. I was beginning to crawl out of my "don't want to noticed" shell and really start to play the game.
At the final nine, I had become the closest with Nina, Joe, and Veronica. I felt I could trust them the most so we started to work together. Nina and I had grown close due to having to vote out our friends in the prior weeks, while Veronica and Joe were just easy to talk to.
I had begun to talk with everyone else, but when I talked to Jordan and Alex about alliances, both of them admitted to me that they had other ones, but that I shouldn't worry because everyone liked me.
I knew I should worry, because being liked was not going to keep me safe for much longer.
The final nine was definitely a huge turning point for me. Nina won Head of Household, and after all of the vetoing Stephen, Jordan, and Veronica were on the block. I promised Stephen I wouldn't vote for him and I didn't think Jordan deserved to go, so I cast my vote for Veronica.
However, after that Alex finally opened up to me and told me that he had an alliance with Jordan, and that's when the ball started rolling. Jordan was pinned as the mastermind, and whether he was or not, he ended up being evicted that week along with Veronica, leaving everyone at the final seven and on a level playing field.
At the final seven, I finally won a Head of Household and decided to nominate Jay and Ryan, since I knew the both of them the least. I liked Jay and my goal was to get Ryan out since I never talked to him, but at the last minute Ryan pointed out that Jay had more money to buy objects and that he was more of a threat, so I went on my gut instinct and evicted Jay in the tiebreaker.
I knew that eventually Nina would be evicted, and it happened at the final six. She was the one person in the game that I knew I could fully trust, and although I did leave hints to Joe not to nominate her, she took the fall and left that week.
At the final five, suspicions were running high and my relationship with Alex was growing stronger, but at the same time weaker. It was like a "different sides of the fence" story. I had talked to Alex for most of the game, but we could never work together.
I put it all on the line and just told him that I wanted to work with him, because throughout the whole game for some reason I knew I could trust him. We had a good long talk and decided that we were going to be together until the end of the game.
When Joe was evicted, it again left me another ally short. The whole game I had just been trying to get one person I could trust, and each one of them would get evicted. I was relieved when Alex kept me safe when he won HOH. I decided to vote for Stephen because I felt he was a bigger threat in the final challenge.
At the final three, it was just me, Alex, and Ryan. I knew I had to win the final challenge because I had a feeling that if I didn't, I would be the one to walk through the door. I ended up winning the final challenge, and although Ryan and I felt that Alex was a bigger jury threat, I kept my word and brought Alex to the finals with me.
Overall, I feel I have grown so much in this game. I started out as the shy kid who didn't want to be noticed, and ended up blooming into a fighter who wasn't going to give up.
I may not have been your best friend or closest ally in the game, but I still fought my way here and never gave up.
I can't believe the game is almost over, but it would be the perfect ending if all of my determination would pay off. That's up to you, and I'm excited to answer your questions!
That's all for now, and good luck to Alex!
